Terms and Conditions
For any clarification of any of these terms and conditions please do not hesitate to ask.
- GDPR - We have GDPR forms for all to sign, we cannot accept pets without GDPR forms and our personal contracts signed.
- Your pet must have a Carnet de Santé or Passport, on which the name of the pet, the name of the owner and the address must be the same as that provided for the reservation. Without a carnet/passport we shall have to refuse admission. All dogs and cats must be tattooed or micro chipped and all dogs must wear a collar or harness whilst boarding. The chip number must be provided within the carnet de santé.
- Dogs - must be vaccinated against Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza and Parvovirus, boosted regularly every twelve months.
- Kennel Cough is not mandatory but something we ask for. There is the option on our contracts to decline this but it is then at your own risk. Dogs in foster care must have this as we are unable to get signed contracts in our presence from the refuge.
- All dogs must also be treated against ticks, fleas and worms (home remedies accepted but must be provided while they stay also. It is helpful if a record of this treatment is kept in the dogs documentation so that we can ensure the treatment remains effective for the length of the pet's stay with us.
- As far as possible our guests should be in good health. However, we must be informed of any recent or ongoing sickness, surgery or medication (including seasons and pregnancy, weak skin conditions) preferably at time of booking but no later than 48 hours prior to check-in such as but not limited to things like an injured paw/leg or any other last minute complication such as diarrhoea, vomiting or any other sudden sickness. Please let us know of these as soon as possible before check-in. We do reserve the right to refuse bitches in whelp beyond six weeks (not always) and dogs not seen by a vet where we ask for it upon being informed of sickness or existing injury. This is to protect not only your dogs but other dogs as well. (in Some cases we may require a vet letter and possibly a conversation with the vet to ensure your pet is in a fit state to stay with us and is not contagious or at any risk to themselves. In the event that we are not informed of any such illness that is infectious or a injury that has not been treated, you as the owner then become responsible for any loss of earning or vet bills to other dogs within our facilities.
- Female's that come into season: While we do accept advance bookings it is not always possible to accommodate if a bitch comes into season before her arrival that will be active during her stay as we do have several intact males that stay with us on a regular basis. We cannot anticipate bitches coming into season and we have no location to keep them separate.
- Elective veterinary visits for our guests will not be charged for transportation to Trie-sur-Baïse. All vet costs are the responsibility of the owner.
- In the event of any guest illness or cause for concern we will immediately consult our veterinary surgeons in Trie-sur-Baïse. If the client has requested that their own veterinary surgeon be consulted we will, unless circumstance dictates that this is not practical, do our best to comply with this request. In the event of serious illness, we shall endeavour to contact the client immediately. Vets other than our own will incur a transportation cost of 20€ per 50km. (entire trip) ie Toulouse around 125km there and same back, 250 km charged. In emergency we would attend the nearest vets at Lannemezan and while it is not the vets we choose to use it is the closest vets to our home.
- Neither "Happy Paws Wagtastic Vacations", nor its staff or agents, can be held responsible for the death or injury of any guest whilst staying with us that is beyond our control as signed for in our contractual agreement.
- Guest’s are welcome to bring their own bedding and toys if you would like (toys limited to rope toys and hard toys, no soft plastic or rubber or squeaker toys are allowed due to swallowing risks and potential harm these can do) . We regret that we cannot be held responsible for any damage that guests may do to these items, damage to our beds by pets is chargeable (proof of costs will be provided). If you are aware that your pets may chew beds we advice to bring along their own bed. Please ask if unsure if their toys are suitable. House guests we ask no toys or bedding are left.
- Where deposits are taken on advanced bookings, in the event of a cancelled booking at least 2 calendar months prior to arrival these are fully refundable, if under this period the deposit is refundable if the room is re-booked for that block period (any days not re-booked may be deducted from deposit). All last minute changes such as removing days at start or end off bookings is also chargeable unless filled by other customers bookings but not in all cases. Once a booking is placed and deposit asked for there is a 7 day period in which for deposits to be sent to us. We will always try to contact the client before cancelling any unconfirmed bookings. All provisional bookings made will remain unconfirmed until a deposit is received or such a time that too long has passed. We will always endeavour to contact clients before cancelling a booking where a deposit has not been received. Where a client goes into negative cancellations we reserve the right to ask for full payment at time of booking for future reservations before we accept any reservation.
- Payment: All payments are due on arrival, bookings over 14 nights stay can be by cash or cheque. (bookings over 300€ and 14 days also can be paid via cheque) All reserved days must be paid for on arrival. Late arrival or early departure is permitted, but all days booked are charged, unless a change is made at least 1 month prior to arrival and does not exceed 1 day per 7 days (a booking is made for 9 days and you change 3 days, all days are payable, if you make a change of one day out of the 7 days, this is acceptable). Any booking modification done under 14 days from arrival is charable in full
- Dogs in the garden: (modified as i'm told it was not clear enough) Dogs in the garden at the owners risk as outlined in our contractual agreement. While we offer as safe and secure an environment by monitoring the dogs constantly via CCTV from 3 feet away or by being in the garden, fights and play fights can happen and will at times happen. We check all new guests via a screening process that lasts up to a morning or afternoon before their first visit. (Yes we do turn people down more often than I would like but our guests safety is of the up-most importance to us). We have had no serious injuries in the entire time we have been here because of how we ensure the dogs are tested in the first place and how any signs of other dogs becoming overly dominant over others is quickly dealt with in the garden. (all tests are done with my own 2 dogs before a guests dog even sets a paw near them.)
