Things you need to remember prior to dropping off your pet:
- Carnet de santé / Passport: These are essential. This is the record of your pet's vaccination regime and it must be up-to-date. Without it, we shall have to refuse admission. (The name on carnet/ passport must be same as your pet's name.) If using a Passport please ensure the yearly vaccinations against: Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza and Parvovirus, seperate kennel cough (Toux de Chenil) are in this and not just the RAGE injection. Without this we are unable to accept pets as this is a requirement of law for us to have these.
- Female's that come into season: While we do accept advance bookings (6 weeks prior) it may be that if your dog comes into season before her stay and it may require them to be kept separately if we have uncastrated males or if the season begins to cause us complications. Bookings made short term before a season we reserve the right to refuse without question.
- Male's that are intact in the house: (we will test intact males but often we are unable to take them for marking and dominance, but we do have several intact males that stay with us on a regular basis so please do not think we will immediately say no, many male intact dogs are just as suitable as castrated males.)
- You are welcome to bring your own dry or tinned food. (Home cooked food can only be used for a maximum of 3 days due to food safety). We supply a high quality food with full balanced nutrition which is charged at 2€ 50cents per week. (short stay of 3 days or under 1€ 50 cents).
- Medication: If your pet is on medication, please bring it with you, ensuring that your pet's name is on bottles/packages, together with clear information regarding dose and times. (dosset boxes may be required for large amounts of medication)
- Ticks, fleas and worms: You should treat your pet regularly. You can bring a pipette with you to be given on day of arrival. (Unless given recently and it covers their length of stay)Please advise us of the dates. If one is not supplied and is needed we can supply one at charge per pipette (Dependent on dog size). Your pet should also be regularly wormed. Please advise and record any treatments given before arrival. (Long-term visitors should have enough to cover their stay.)
- Toys: If your pet has a favourite blanket and/or toys, you are welcome to bring these to aid the settling in period We are unable to take any hollow plastic toys or toys that contain squeakers do to the potential harm these can do unsupervised. Please ask if unsure if the toys are suitable. We stock lots of toys for dogs and cats to play with.
- Please fill in the owner info sent via email or it can be done upon arrival. This gives us vital contact info and detailed info regarding your pets.
